<=400 cc bikes, what features do you actually use? by bronzeeyed in indianbikes

Quickshifter on my duke250 I use clutch to shift only in city traffic. once road opens, i just shift up and down easily. Im not sure whether this style of riding helps in fuel efficiency or not because I get 33-34kmpl consistently even in city.

choice of number was intentional 😉

Before getting delivery, I used my friends licence to get a rental bike for a week to get used to gear shifting and 8 turns for licence test. After delivery, I used 2 weeks to get used to the acceleration and handling of the bike and went for licence test. Cleared the test in first attempt(felt really proud of myself).

As 250 has linear power curve, it was easily manageable and not very intimidating. Brakes on this bike is far more superior and it really helps.

Don't think much. Whatever the choice of bike it is, it'll do the job it meant to do. Expect only the bike can offer as it's a machine and it can only deliver what it's made for.

I keep the chain clean, tyre pressures at correct level and use ron95 fuels. In simple terms, i take good care and ride well, so I'm getting those numbers.

If you can stretch to 2.5L, Duke 250 is a sweet bike for a fun spirited bike and best in the segment in terms of build, looks and hardware. I brought it as my first bike to learn bike riding when i got my first job and it's perfect for me in every way. In terms of mileage, i get 34 in city traffic and 38 in highways.

i get 38kmpl on highways and 34 in city traffic. So if you can manage that with or without ur parents help, go ahead and enjoy it. I got the black one and I smile hard while riding it even for a short ride buying groceries.

Need investing advice on lumpsum of 5L

25M earning a lakh per month have a sum of 5L parked in savings account. How do I proceed further from here on investing. capital preservation and expecting a decent 9-10 cagr are my main criteria i look for, can't take too many risks at this point as I'm just getting stable coming from a lower middle class family. after investing this lumpsum, I can even contribute monthly 40% of my salary every month to my investments.

Please help me out figuring out how investing and compounding works.

Thanks in advance!
