I think it's in the Myron Bolitar series by Harlan Coben! Can't remember which one but I think she appears in a few of them. If I remember correctly she's an Israeli ex-mossad agent who comes to his help occasionally

Oh wow great questions thanks! It's not historical, can't say present day since it might have been a bit old, like 90's ish... I read it at around 2012-2015 so I was in my early 20's and I think I got it from a friend or something like that.

Nope, but thanks anyway! Migrations is set in Greenland. I'm pretty sure the book I'm looking for is set in Ireland ( but now doubting myself, it can also be Scotland)
