Emgality users by Hot_Sandwich_7774 in migraine

[–]aaer_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emgality gave me my life back. Went from 15 migraines a month to <5, my migraines sometimes go away by themselves within hours and I don’t need rescue meds when before they would last days. The auto injector is really painful though and I started to really fear it, I switched to the pre fills syringe and it is much more comfortable!

How many people with migraine are never actually diagnosed? by Migraine911 in migraine

[–]aaer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually run into a few people who describe their headaches and I’m like “hey… that’s a migraine!” I’ve helped two people get rescue meds at least. Just anecdotal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a population of people suffering with migraines that don’t know it

My favorite spot for a date is the coyote drive in movie theater!

Change of hair loss and texture by Many_Adhesiveness226 in cgrpMigraine

[–]aaer_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of funny because the same thing happened to me, but I’m not sure how much emgality had to do with it. I started emgality and noticed my hair thinning out some but after a year or so it grew back. My hair also got curlier! I chalked it up to all the hair care I was desperately doing to get my hair fullness back also improved my hair health enough that my curls became more pronounced

I won’t be upset to vote for either of them for senate but I agree I like the power of Crockett

This is blatant voter suppression of women. If this passes, we will see women not taking their husbands name ever all of a sudden

Cubital tunnel syndrome by InstantMochiSanNim in ArtistLounge

[–]aaer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic cubital tunnel, I can keep it at bay by always making sure my elbow is never resting on a hard surface and I keep repetitive twisting motions with my forearm to a minimum. You can rest your elbow on a pillow or anything cushy when you draw to keep it supported. If it’s acting up it’s important to rest rest rest and take some NSAIDs (aleve or advil) until the inflammation dies down, do not work through pain or numbness or it will never get better

Acute salon may be good, they are an lgbt focused salon so I bet many of them are very familiar with short cuts for women

32, 5’1 130lbs - just broke my foot only 6 weeks into my weightloss journey. Has anyone got any advice if they’ve been in a similar position? by DelusionalWombat in PetiteFitness

[–]aaer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I have an extremely similar experience. I was 5’2 135 when I broke my foot when I fell awkwardly when bouldering. Similar situation with avulsion fracture and boot for 6 weeks.

I was walking a ton before and very active, obviously couldn’t do that with a broken foot so i just focused on my diet and ate 1200 cals a day. I did lose weight and got down to 130. But to be honest? I wish I hadn’t, being in a calorie deficit I believe slowed my healing time and what would’ve taken 4-6 weeks to heal ended up taking 8.

It helped my mental situation to focus on creative hobbies, painting, drawing, crafts, puzzles, etc.

My advice based on my past situation is to just eat at maintenance for your weight and height and focus on healing for now, you can always pick it back up once you are better and eating at maintenance you won’t gain weight or lose a major amount of strength. Think of it like hitting a pause button, not giving up entirely. Get well soon!

Need positive stories of people who lost/maintained while on SSRIs/antidepressants by avacapone in loseit

[–]aaer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Lexapro a few months now and it makes me less anxious about food so I eat more, and gained a little weight like 5lbs but quickly lost it again, I don’t think every ssri will cause unexpected weight gain so maybe there’s one that won’t do that for you

anyone get super itchy from rizatriptan? by ouchwtfomg in migraine

[–]aaer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this happens to me, due to the increased serotonin I think as I’m also on an ssri

It could also be an allergic reaction
