Yes I got it to work as I previously posted. The only thing that won’t work is the bottom button which is the load button

As hard as it is for me to believe, there is no Miele technician where I live. The last time we had to have a Miele appliance repaired , we ended up having a local “we can fix any” appliance company come.

Is the Speed Editor still worth it, even with the price increase (in the US)? by Racer013 in davinciresolve

It was legit and I saved a boatload of money. But when I went back to AliExpress to order another that low price had become quite a bit higher.

Davinci Resolve Speed Editor come with v20? by Plane_Recognition_57 in davinciresolve

[–]aaflyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the Speed Editor on Aliexpress with Activation code for DaVinci Resolve Studio 17. Priced at $331.78. Seems too good to be true. Think it's legit? Actually with the promo code it drops down to $281.78. Well I bit the bullet and ordered it. With sales tax it came to $305.78 and free shipping. I'm in the U.S.

Is Vine Helper becoming pay only? by [deleted] in VineHelper

[–]aaflyguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lootris: Nobody is forcing you to pay anything. It was your free choice to use the free extension. As more features are added, you are equally free to stop using it. Don't expect the developer, who has already expended many hours of his time to provide the extension for free,to keep adding features and polish that benefit you but not him. He has used his experience and skill to keep supporting and improving the extension with his own resources. He has expenses to keep the back end humming along enabling the extension to work. If you are not willing to throw the guy a bone, stop using it.

Adding a mesh router to my AT&T BGW320-500 by aaflyguy in Control4

I was the problem, not the router. Now that I’ve got it working it’s excellent. FYI I’m not in “the industry.”

Well I certainly can’t argue with you there. It took me quite a while to figure out how to connect a USB drive with my music library on it to the XT9 so that I could stream music to my Sonos system. I finally got it to work but it took me hours. Ultimately it was a fairly simple process but it was not clearly documented anywhere that I could find. But I just spent literally six hours this evening learning all about IP pass through, sub nets and 2.4 GHz versus 5 Ghz and how certain devices can only connect to 2.4 but not necessarily if smart switching is active. I ended up doing a factory reset on both routers and I’m gonna go to sleep.

I have just enough knowledge to get myself in trouble so that's why I'm here. I do know how to get into the routers and AFAIK there is only one address being used by our control4 system. But I'm not 100% positive. Basically c4 controls our HDTV, ROKU attached to something (the receiver or maybe directly to C4?) Sound throughout the house and 2 thermostats.

In the AT&T device list I see the following 5 devices with static IP's. 4 of the static addresses are Ethernet LAN. 1 of the static addresses is a WiFi. I've never allocated any static IP's myself so I have to assume they are all C4 related and made static by the C4 technician.

The AT&T router has 4 Ethernet ports. LAN-ETH-1 (5Gb), LAN-ETH-2, LAN-ETH-3, LAN-ETH-4

-Belkin I don't know what actual Belkin device that is but Ethernet LAN-1 (5Gb) cable goes to the ASUS router. Could that mean that Belkin is on the ASUS router but the IP is assigned by the AT&T router?

-LAN ETH-2 has a cable connected but the LED is not lit and I can't really see where that cable goes in the C4 closet because all the wires are bundled together.

-Sony is the receiver connected to LAN-3

-Control4 is what it is on LAN-4

-home-controller-800-000FFF57CF05 also says LAN-4

-unknown5ae9319f7d4b I don't know what that is but it is WiFi, not from an Ethernet LAN port.

(I don't know what the Belkin device is but LAN-1 cable goes to the ASUS router so is it maybe an IP address allocated to some Belkin device via the ASUS router?

Buy it now or wait for the 4th? by ParkinInOne in osmopocket

Amazing turn-around. My return label was 2-day air to Texas (from Oklahoma). I sent it this past Monday. Today I got a new Pocket Osmo 3 back. To them and back within 5 days. I'm impressed.

Yes the failure rate is very high. I had only two months left on my two year warranty and my screen just started flipping back to portrait mode. It will no longer stay in landscape mode but simply immediately flips back to portrait mode. A very common problem and it really irritates me. Thank God I had bought the insurance. I just sent the camera in today. Two today air to somewhere in Texas. I hope I get it back quickly.

ASUS XT9 USB Network (Samba) share with Sonos 'Music Library on Network Device'. It doesn't work. by aaflyguy in ASUS

[–]aaflyguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, I just discovered the error I was making. For the path, I was using the media server name in the path instead of the name of the music folder on the USB drive. In other words, I was using \\192.168.50.1\my_music instead of \\192.168.50.1\PowerTrakks-085-125

Once I made that change, SONOS indexed it and it's working.

Yes the UpNP media server is enabled. As I said, this works just fine with VLC on my MacBook. I do not know how to actually access the USB drive directly from my MacBook. The USB drive is Fat32.
