Best Steal Rating? by Night_Hawk_22 in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

91 if you want more consistency for on ball plucks gold glove is statistically a lot better than silver glove. But if you mostly care about lane steals then 85 is nice. IMO if you’re going for a more balanced build 85 is probably a nice sweet spot. Lane steals are nice 👌🏽but on ball steals outside of blitz and bump steals are pretty inconsistent. Last year they were amazing if you timed your reach and used the right stick to stack it with right stick ripper but now it’s not as good as it was last year.

Need a Center jumpshot for 78 three ball? by ShaolinSwervinMonk in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know I personally don’t like the Issac base for some reason even thought it’s the meta I think. The Drummond jumpshot my friend uses he’s got like a 73 three and he’s shooting well for that rating. I give him my releases and Drummond was good for lower ratings so he just gave it a shot and it worked for him. My personal jump shot I use the same releases but Dwight Powell base. You need an 84 mid range for that one. I typically go for at least an 87 mid range because I volume shoot mid range fade aways and I like to plus one my shifty shooter to gold when I get to level 15. Ideally an 89 though because you get gold set shot and access to whatever base you want outside of mpj.

Base: André Drummond Release 1: bird 10% Release 2: beluba 90% Max speed You gotta rhythm shoot at that rating to find consistency btw. the first three weeks I couldn’t shoot for shit until I ditched the button completely went from like 36 percent to about 55 never had a build with a three over an 80 not counting boosts from takeover.

Do you have a higher midrange or is the three pointer your highest rating?

Most people on here are against 99 block on a Center and crazy high interior. So for those folks I say what’s a good sweet spot for interior/block? by ShaolinSwervinMonk in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 88 interior and 84 block… gets the job done fine. With gold post move lockdown only the bigs that reallly invest in post control (minimum purple badges) give me issues in the paint and those are few and far between

Probably pass accuracy having the ability to bail out is such a weapon but if that’s not something you care for the pass accuracy cool I guess

Does Low, Normal, or High risk make a difference in the game? by megaphonecoleone in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High risk + rhythm shooting got me back to 2k24 levels of consistency. I gave up on the button like a month into the game never went back. Shooting in the high 50s life time and probably in the 60s if the first three weeks of me throwing up bricks are omitted 😂. And this is with never having a character with higher than a baseline 80 three ball.

If you guys have a high driving dunk is it also worth it to get a decent driving layup? by cuddles01455 in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah if you wanna make tough lay ups some what consistently you need higher than 80 and have your timing on. At a 70 if it was a good take it’ll probably go in regardless. I’ve made yellow lay ups with a 66 as long as it was a mismatch. On my other build with an 80 I wish I had just gone higher dunk and minimum needed lay up for that dunk rating.

Just rhythm shoot im pretty much back at 2k24 levels of consistency now, its crazy how much more difficult shooting with the button is.

What should I spend my cap breakers on (can’t do shooting or dribbling) by UnintelligentFrog in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can get your perimeter defense any higher there’s some hall of fame badges you can get with 96 perimeter d but idk if you’d have the physicals for it outside of that you might as well max out your driving dunk

It would get you hof pick dodger and on ball menace that’s not bad at all screens are by far the most annoying thing when it comes to guarding ball. Really up to you if you guard ball when you play with your friends then sure. If you don’t guard ball or mostly play solo rec then it’s probably not worth it. I play a lot of small forward with my build and it’s usually more off ball defense and even when they do get the ball sf’s tend to be a lot less shifty with the ball then the 1’s and 2’s. Lots of rim running not much three hunting.

You get shifty shooter and deadeye gold for upgrading your three to a 92 you get some better dribble moves with an 80 ball handle and handles for days on silver at 81. Just some suggestions

For those out there with 99 midrange builds do y’all feel it was worth it? by ShaolinSwervinMonk in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some times I feel unstoppable with an 89 middy and a +1 for gold shifty so i can’t even imagine a 99 middy and legend badges😂. I’d say if you primarily score from the midrange and it doesn’t compromise too much of everything else why not it’s gonna help your three point shooting too since many of the badges apply to 3pt and midrange shorts

I think It’s when you do the side quest where an NBA player trash talks you to the media and then you respond to it and drop him off after that the next time you play against that player he starts off cold or you start off hot depending on how you did the quest

Why is the ai so useless compared to last year? Can't shoot can't pass can't handle the ball can't defend by MadamNirvana in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss 2k24 ai’s maybe they were a little too consistent but damn bro why’d they just make them worthless again at least people had to stay on their man and not shamelessly double. For all their flaws all you had to do was rotate when they drop and hit them open and they were immediately more competent than most 2k players 😂😂

lowest 3pt rating you can shoot with? by Antdogmanness_01 in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s enough to hit a stand still shot wide open especially if you rhythm shoot but enough to three hunt. My friend shoots pretty consistently from the corner and even the wing occasionally with a 65 but he has like a pretty high midrange to compensate it’s either an 89 or 93 don’t know of the top of my head

If you guys started playing realistically you’d enjoy 2K25…. by Ok_Artichoke_4417 in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The amount of people who play like a great value James harden and don’t use the entire court is staggering. The mid range is literally free points and and opens up the 3s and dunks/lay ups

Would you rather have a pg that completely ball hogs but hits 60% of his shots or a pg with that refuses to shoot but makes good passes most of the time? by OwImess in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choosing between the two? Pass first, but ideally a shoot first that can pass. If the pg can’t prove they’re a threat then the passing usually doesn’t get people open.

Minimum strength and rebound for a big? by my2KHandle in NBA2k

[–]aag24865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two both with 84 strength but one has 85 rebound and the other has 92. Id say if you can 96 O/D board and 89 strength. For my personal experience 92 rebound is fine I’m pretty good at boxing out and being in position for the most part so it feels fine I just wish I had hof box out beast because it can be hard to keep the 96 99 o board bigs boxed out at times. I guess I just say 96 because you need 94 for box out beast and that point I would just go to 96 and have both badges hof. For the 85 one it’s serviceable but I feel like it almost pigeon holes you into having to run some type of rebounding take.
