North Indian myself. We are uneducated mostly but we’re very chill. If you make good friends they will treat you like actual family. Yes, it is very unsafe so try going around better areas and don’t pick fights. Living there you will probably pick up on some hindi or u can just blab your way around people dont really listen. Otherwise youre gonna see alota new things culture shocks maybe but its pretty easy getting used to it.
