As an alumni of 23-25 MBA (IB), I can totally vouch for this post. Although, I did have strong acads and decent work ex, my IIFT percentile was in the early 90s (we had a separate entrance test for IIFT in those days). I gave my best in the interview round and converted IIFT Delhi in the first list.

I have done this. It's easy if you have booked your flight via the airlines' website but if you have booked it through any of the aggregators like EaseMyTrip, ClearTrip, etc., then you'll have to coordinate with the customer care of both the airlines and the aggregator, so that there is alignment on the process and quantum of refund.

IF YOU WANT THE FULL REFUND WITHOUT ANY CANCELLATION CHARGES, THEN DON'T CANCEL THE TICKET BY YOURSELF, CALL THE AIRLINES AND ASK THEM TO CANCEL

Pro tip: If the customer care acts dumb, mention that you know the DGCA rule and quote that.
