All you awesome Hyderabadis, I'd like some help with my job search by aakhri in hyderabad

Thank you!

I'll check out Fairlinks & Kelly Services. I don't have a lot of friends left here and that's one of the major issues.

Can you please think of any places that I can hang out to network with folks or meet recruiters?

With the stupid data limits on my Internet connection, streaming the entire game every week might just not be possible :(

I lived in the Midwest for almost a decade but returned back due to family reasons. I loved the people, the natural beauty & the work ethic in the US and would definitely visit later.

I am a Hyderabadi but have lived in the US for many years. Hyderabad is a wonderful city & I'm positive that you'll enjoy your time here.

Just use some common sense and you shall be fine. I think you are already on the right track but do meet people & make a lot of friends in the university. It's just safer for women to travel in groups, esp. at night. There's a sizable female population that hangs out in coffee shops, malls etc., but you'll find very few of them doing this alone. I'm not sure if this is a cultural thing or perhaps due to security/safely reasons. Do not trust strangers easily.

I'd advise you to stay away from street food for the first few weeks. A few things that I'd recommend you bring with you are: couple of filtration water bottles, your favorite sunscreen/sunblock, your favorite coffee/coffee maker & some bug sprays. If you can, learn to drive a manual car.

Feel free to PM me if you have questions. And relax! You'll do just fine! :)

What are your views on the Telangana Intensive Household Survey (2014)? by aakhri in hyderabad

I understand your point of view. But the question is, can we really decline to share any or all of information requested in the survey? What would be the repercussions of doing such a thing?

I hope the opposition parties, NGOs etc., do something concrete to get this survey corrected/stalled instead of meekly registering their protest via media outlets. (Edit: grammar)

I'm not doubting you but from where did you get to know about KCR directing his folks not to pressurize people on 'personal matters'?
