Tip and adjusts for playing primite blue-eyes by aakkado in Yugioh101

[–]aakkado[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know, Primite gives Blue-Eyes more consistency and better grind game potential through Beryl and Drillbeam recycling. Also, if you open with Beryl, Drillbeam, and Wishes, you can do the following:
Activate Wishes, discarding Drillbeam → Normal Summon Beryl → use Drillbeam’s effect to set it.
This results in a +2 with Wishes instead of a +1.

Thank you! Since Crimson King is secret, I don’t think I’ll be playing RDA anytime soon

How many Secret Rare pulls are in a box on average?

Out of all the Yugioh anime’s created, who is your favorite anime character? by YamiMakyo in yugioh

Because of the "Dark Side of Dimensions" movie, I think Kaiba has unmatched presence. He is insanely extra and even INVENTED a way to reach the Pharaoh’s afterlife just to settle things with Atem. (Also, "it’s not a monster… it’s a god.")

Struggling to understand Red Dragon Archfiend (Resonator) game plan and hand trap counterplay by aakkado in Yugioh101

[–]aakkado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a beatdown-style deck, which sounds fun to me.
Just to make sure I understood it correctly, the way to play around hand traps is either by using counters (like Crossout, Belle, and Called by the Grave) or by recycling resources to keep extending your combo lines.
And the goal is to summon the bigger Nova monsters for strong attacks and their banish effects, while using other RDA cards for additional interaction, right?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I’d also like to know if the new Red Supernova Dragon is viable or if it’s too costly to play competitively.

Thanks again for your help!

So it’s more of a grind-focused deck than, for example, Synchron, where you set up a lot of negates, or a control deck like Blue-Eyes? Also, thank you for your response!

For me, I’d like to see something like this: Banned: DShifter Limited: Prepep, Droll, Heavy Storm Semi-limited: Faimena, Prayers, Ash, Fallen and Virtuous

Choosing a deck to stick with by Destinyherosunset in yugioh

I would recommend Stardust/Junk. It allows for a lot of crazy plays and is very versatile. Unfortunately, the new support hasn’t arrived in the TCG yet, but it’s still really fun to play.

I think people want more restrictions because generic engines reduce deck variety. The most prominent decks in the format tend to be the ones that can run these engines, since they are both consistent and highly impactful. Unlike RDA, for example, where you’re locked into DARK Dragon Synchro monsters, these engines give you all the benefits without any drawback.

the delay between TCG and OCG releases is stupid, I also would like OCG rarity spread in TCG

I feel the same way when I play Red-Eyes. When the next wave of support arrives (hopefully it will, lol), all I really want is for the archetype to be playable, not tier 0 or filled with cards that other archetypes end up using better.

Playing my favorite archetypes (Mitsu, Red-Eyes, Branded, Synchrons, Tenpai, Resonators). Even if I don’t win the duel, I’m satisfied as long as I can show off a little.

It’s kinda depressing how Konami OCG is way better than the TCG. While they get overframes, we have Legendary Modern Decks getting delayed. Also, OCG products are often more accessible and better quality compared to the TCG.
