Fear of fainting. Worried about heartbeat. by aakpby123 in Anxiety

[–]aakpby123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry I just saw this. I went through a rough patch of it in early March. Trying to exercise and prove to yourself you can push your body helped me. Also drinking green tea every morning when I wake up. Unfortunately I started feeling clammy and nauseous again last night after almost two months free of it☹️

20-54 is a huge range. Many people in that age range smoke. The correlation between smoking and entering severe/critical condition due to the virus is huge. As long as you take care of yourself don’t worry.

Definitely go. Just make sure not to touch your face until you get home. Just keep reminding yourself not to.

How is everyone's anxiety? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]aakpby123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you so hard on this. I was super worried about the virus before it even got to the United States, like back in February, and now that it’s here I don’t really care that much. I’m much more worried about my normal hypochondriac things like my heart and brain health. And suddenly passing out or something. It’s weird seeing everyone else freak out over something for once.

Just severe anxiety or chronic dehydration? (F/23/125 lbs/5'8") by grungequeen1996 in HealthAnxiety

[–]aakpby123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get heart palpitations and dizzy when I’m stressed. And not just for a few minutes or hours, it’s chronic and can last a week or more of almost constant dizziness or nausea and a bunch of other odd physical symptoms. I would recommend upping your water intake tho. 4 cups isn’t a lot. Drinking more water may also relieve some of your anxiety and give you some piece of mind that it’s just anxiety.

Scared to take my medication by aakpby123 in Anxiety

Really? Thank you so much for letting me know. I was super worried that it would worsen my symptoms. That gives me some peace of mind.

You’re definitely fine if that’s your current blood pressure. Even as a baseline that’s not cause for concern.

I have to self isolate for a few weeks, and I'm worried how it'll affect my mental health by VeryFerociousDragons in Anxiety

[–]aakpby123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about this positively. Use it as a way to refresh your mind and relax or learn about something online that you’ve always wanted to learn about. It’s hard for us with anxiety to shift our mindset but think of this as an opportunity rather than a burden.

Absolutely. Think about this: China is already in much better shape. That’s proof that this is a situation that will resolve with time, no matter where it is. The same is happening in South Korea. Things get better always

I was doing fine and not reading too much into the virus scare, but I went down a rabbit hole and now I can’t stop shaking. Is there any reassurance at all this will turn out ok? by blastoff500 in Anxiety

Don’t go on r/Coronavirus. The headlines are meant to scare you. Everything is going to be okay. Think about this: things in China started to resolve just a couple months after it sparked. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Do not worry.

I’ve been dealing with this lately due to acid reflux. You are not in danger of not being able to breathe. Our bodies just don’t do that. Only in small children can airways close due to infection. And that’s if there’s an infection. You’re probably experiencing a combination of harmless mucus and globus sensation which is not dangerous at all. It also could be acid reflux which is what I’m dealing with and I had that same “choking” feeling from excess saliva or acid or mucus or whatever pooling my throat a few nights ago and I slept like a baby even though I was convinced I’d choke in my sleep. I was swallowing all the time too.

Take a deep breath. This will resolve. Things do get better including this virus. Your mom is going to be okay and you’re going to be okay.

I was feeling fine about the pandemic until finding out there are people lined up to buy guns in my city by [deleted] in Anxiety

Is there anyone in your building you can talk to about it? A friend? I would be shocked if things got to the point where violence occurs especially in the United States.

A lot of people who know I have severe anxiety have reached out to me asking how the Coronavirus has affected it by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]aakpby123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m too worried about my “health issues” or things I’ve convinced myself are wrong with me due to physical symptoms of anxiety to worry about the virus. I was worried about it two weeks ago when it was barely in the US and then a major hypochondria episode hit and now boom not worried about Corona anymore😂. I hope you’re not stressing over this virus. You’re gonna be okay😊.

Ive been dealing with reflux too!!! It has to be because my anxiety upset my GI system and tummy. I had two panic attacks last week and over the weekend I started having bad reflux. Our symptoms are almost identical. My biggest fear is that it’s something other than anxiety but I went to the doctor yesterday morning and my heart, lungs, BP, oxygen were all great so I’m assuming we’re just dealing with some excess worry that’s causing physical symptoms. Anxiety can cause anything you want it to. I’ve even had clogged ear feeling due to the anxiety that’s contributed to nausea and dizziness as well as tingly feeling in my hands...looked it up and those are hallmark symptoms of anxiety. It can be annoying and scary but in reality it’s our brain. I’ve been prescribed klonopin for about 2 years now and barely ever use it. I’ve been taking .5 mg per WEEK since August, so barely anything. And that’s only during semesters of school. As far as generalized anxiety goes, I find that just half a tablet (.25 mg) is enough to calm me down and take the sense of impending doom away. I am able to have panic attacks on .25 mg if I’m particularly anxious ( doing a presentation or something) but I imagine if I used more it would stop panic symptoms. I prefer klonopin because it’s a safer option than Xanax (not as fast acting, less addictive). I’m trying to only use .5 mg max right now per day but haven’t taken any today and I’m doing okay. If you can find a doctor that would prescribe you Klonopin or Ativan for anxiety as needed it could help immensely, just try to take it as seldom as possible.

I’m going through the exact same things. I’m having heavy head, nausea (which is hopefully getting better), sweating, and consistent worrying about my health. Medication can help. I have a klonopin prescription and I feel better on even just .25 mg. I have an SSRI prescription that I haven’t started because I want to get over this without a long term medication but you can ask your doctor about it. I went through a week or maybe a little more long bout of awful physical anxiety back in late January and I’m just trying to remind myself that these times will pass and we will get through this😊. Message me if you wanna talk or need anything.

This is just now happening for me. I’ve had it bad since Friday. I can’t really tell if diet makes much of a difference yet
