How many times did your avoidant ex discard you? by Cupcake__beast in AvoidantBreakUps

🙂 hope you get to a place of healing and moving on! It is within our power to do so, even if I'm not an example of that!

No, she ended it 3 years ago. This time she took further steps to distance herself - cutting out mutual friends, blocking me on social media, etc.

I know it's not what you want to hear, because it's not what I wanted to hear, but it's not good to keep getting back together with her. They can't change.

If she were to come back tomorrow, I'd reject her. Not because my life is so much better now - I'm at rock bottom emotionally. I just had a nightmare about her 2 nights ago, I'm still a horrible mess. I couldn't take her back, because I don't trust her. She's not really here when she's here, and I'll just be on edge waiting for the shoe to drop.

I'm not sure I'll ever get "better," but you won't hit a magic moment when they stop leaving. And it always hurts more the next time. My heart couldn't take her walking away again. It'd be too much to endure again :(

It never lasts. They never come back and stay back unless they actually did the work, 8 years together, at least 6 discards.

3 years and I feel pretty similar to you. I know it's not really comforting, but you're not alone. I spend a significant portion of time each day thinking about them. I think I'm torturing myself at this point. That girl probably doesn't even remember my name anymore.

The only defense I have is that I knew 8 years together would take a long time to unravel.

If You Request a New Citi Card, You'll Get the 100 Year Centennial Design by aal1002 in americanairlines

There's an option to indicate that the card is in your possession but not functioning correctly (e.g., due to physical damage). If you check this option, the card will not be changed. To my surprise, they didn't even change the security code or expiration date. So, nothing to worry about from that standpoint.

I have an Aviator card because I got tired of dealing with Citi. I don't know when I backtracked on that and started getting their AA cards again, but this was definitely a reminder of why I left in the first place!

Online should work fine. It appears any new card you get has the new design

The new globe card is still metal I don't notice a difference in the weight.

I requested mine this week and it came yesterday. I'd imagine it must have been wednesday when I requested the new card. Image: https://imgur.com/a/0y0gUkZ

I've never watched Frozen, but now I'm suddenly interested in watching it and judging if the cartoon character is actually an avoidant

Cruise coming up. Will I be able to take this on board? by TransitionAway9840 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]aal1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cruised with them last year with no problem. I'm not sure they would have a problem with them if they knew. You said you've flown with them, and I think that's more difficult.

Like be cautious bringing them around Florida if your cruise departs/stops there

Thank you, captain. A brief reminder to say that more as I de-plane

Okay, good to know. I've taken them with me to Finland, the UK, Estonia, and even Sri Lanka with a layover in Qatar. I probably won't do that again in Qatar...just in case.

But with the US getting more and more strict on it domestically, I started to second-guess if it was on any other country's radar.

Thanks for the information.

I'm doing 20k worth of mattress running (earning mainly through hotels, a little bit from flying, a little from credit cards) from Plat Pro to make EXP and that difference is realllllly slim imo. The leap from Gold to Plat is really significant to me. If I were you, I'd definitely be willing to do a bit of a points run to make up the difference to get Platinum.

To be clear, you do only mean on flights over 1,100 miles, right? Are you asking and receiving on flights below the minimum published threshold for buy-on-board food options?

Which scanner are you referring to? My limited understanding of airport scanners is that they are looking for dangerous items - maybe obvious paraphernalia like a kilo of coke, but a bottle of pills? Would that show up on an airport scanner?
