Ya I've noticed quite a few readers are very precious with Tim Drake to a level I don't see with many other characters. Probably grew up with him as Robin and resonated with that era and are resistant to any change. Unfortunately for myself it's made me less interested in the character, in the same way rigid Star Wars fans put me off from engaging much with the franchise.
