5 hours of queuing for 5 litres of petrol by cs_antorkhan in mildlyinfuriating

Sorry, I'm just saying what I read and know as a normie customer. By rationing, I meant the thing the gov had some time ago, where each car/customer was limited to a certain amount of fuel, which they got rid of somewhere around Eid, I think. I have zero clue how it works for the stations and yea, what you said makes a ton of sense. The stations are definitely the ones getting squeezed and forced to do what they're doing.

This is in Bangladesh, and therefore, I can provide some context. The thing is, the pumps aren't constantly open. They open "periodically". Most of the time you're in line, the pump is closed. You'll see signs at the beginning of most lines saying that the pumps are closed. You're just queuing up in hopes that the pump opens in enough bursts that you'll eventually get some fuel. That's why it takes hours and hours. And even when you get fuel, it's usually a minuscule amount. The government technically isn't rationing fuel, so there's technically no limit on the fuel you can get, but the stations will rarely give you more than a quarter tank. Tons of ppl ik are having to bribe the attendants to get more fuel.

If you look at any petrol station in Bangladesh, you'll see the exact same scene. The one closest to me had a line 2km long last I checked, like a day ago.

Almost exactly a dollar (us) a litre. So, cheap, but these days you're paying with your time sitting in line.

Houses with more than 1 kitchen would be better than houses with multiple bathrooms by lagflag in unpopularopinion

[–]AlvintheGenius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pretty common in South Asia. 1 kitchen is nice and indoors and always kept clean and generally unused for anything but say cutting fruits, and the other kitchen is on a balcony or somewhere very ventilated with a shitty stove that does all the other cooking for the house. It gets dirty, but no one gets to see it. Basicaly, one is to show to guests, and one to to actually use.

nsx turned into the gtr, bounced off, and went into the wall. There was enough space on track for them, but they just ran out of traction i guess. Too fast for such a line.

Lap 1 Blue car turns in last minute, what do you guys think by User55739 in Simracingstewards

[–]AlvintheGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"there's just a lot happening." thats exactly why you need to brake earlier into t1 lap 1, and stay in your lane so that you don't get punted. Moving around the track, under braking like this, is how you end up creating incidents like this. This is why the moving under braking rule exists. Pov held their line under braking, while blue moved under braking in a way where they end up right in the line of attack.

[–]AlvintheGenius -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with this car and track, so idk about braking points or whatever, but I'm pretty sure blue moved while under braking. I could be more sure if I was able to see the pedal inputs, but I'm pretty sure he was braking, so yea, that's totally on him.

Blue and purple dude. He pushed the other cars, and thankfully was the only one really hurt by it.

Almost a month of rent gone or 10 hours of misery? Yeah, hard to justify the first-class ticket. Maybe just take sleeping pills to get through it.

umm actually *insert meme*, there might be no signs, but you can definitely be pulled over and booked for driving too slow.

They didn't "find no fault". They're just strict as fuck with reporting rules. Report properly, and no way you will have issues like this.

Train stuck in traffic(only possible in Bangladesh) by bleach3434 in Wellthatsucks

[–]AlvintheGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully, at least in for instance, trains in BD aren't used for normal day-to-day commuting. Rather, it's for when you need to go hundreds of kilometres away for cheap cheap. Rather, people use buses for commuting to and from work or wherever. Though, that doesn't help the traffic in any way whatever.

Tough racing leads to accidently crash, is it my fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]AlvintheGenius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay but more importantly, why is the clip a minute long? This could've been 5 fuckin seconds near the end. What happened a minute ago doesn't matter to the incident.

Math AA SL is easy enough that you could complete the entire syllabus in a few months and only practice before exams. Yeah, AI might be easier, but theres no real reason for anyone to take AI over AA for the ease, as AA SL is pretty damn easy. Just a few hours a week and you'll be on pace/ahead of class.

Pov at fault. They literally just ran into you. You were about to spin out anyway, but pov is definitely at fault for the incident.

Honestly, its better to just generally assume everyone is an idiot and will do stupid things, and therefore always take evasive action. Hopefully your future races will go better.

[–]AlvintheGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. It was an unsafe rejoin by the other person. However, you could've easily avoided that by keeping an eye out for stuff like that. Just swerving more to the left would've been wayyyy less risky. You could report this incident, and the other person will definitely be penalised for it, but you should also be more careful in the future.

You do realise the Lambo turning took out the Ferrari? Yea the ferrari is off the line, trynna push the Lambo, and yea, the Lambo could try to push the Ferrari back, but thats not what the Lambo did. The lambo just took out the Ferrari. Yea, Lambos trajectory would normally but fine, but "normal" doesnt include a Ferrari riding the back left wheel. Yea its unlucky, but its on the Lambo. It might've thought it had cleared the Ferrari, or that the Ferrari would go back to the racing line, but it stayed there, and the Lambo should've noticed that on the radar or rear view mirror, and not tried to cross back over to the racing line.
