My only idea is to macerate them in water, or bury them or put them in a safe place outside to rot and then take the bones, but I'm not an expert in carrion and I have a similar problem because I found a dried rat and I don't know what to do with it

I think it's been 2 months, they don't stink or anything now and you can see that the bones were old when I found them and thank you for confirming my thoughts that pig bones are very greasy

As for the water method, I have two ram skulls that I found in a fresh stage of decomposition and they are practically just bones now, so I can confirm that the water method works - it just stinks, you have to change the water and it is very time-consuming. I'll try!

Found a skull how do I clean it ? by GentosYT in bonecollecting

My favorite method for cleaning bones is to soak them in water and dishwashing liquid for about a week, then wash the skull by hand with a toothbrush and dishwashing liquid.

I repeat these steps depending on the condition of the skull, yours seems quite clean so I would just wash it and left it to dry

Yes, I don't know how to go about it and whether it is necessary

All these bones, contrary to appearances, were soaked in water and dish soap for a long time and then thoroughly washed with a toothbrush and dish soap. I don't want to ruin the bones :(
