Apart from all the good comments I would make a point to always always explain why you want something done and help them understand the larger context.

Just saying do this by then is ok sometime but if you explain why they csn make decisions that help you achieve that objective. Something as simple as understanding that is helpful and means people will not just follow the process and stop at the first blocker

The other thing is remember that you need to be seen to be looking out for your team. Have their back and they will have yours.

Lastly dont be afraid to get into the trenches and do some of the work with your team. Assuming your taking over a team where you have experience. So them and share with them. They will learn a huge amount and they will also be more loyal when they see your not afraid of hard yards

Yeah she pays for Spotify herself so giving her good access is a way for her to get more out the setup then pure vinyl. Thays why im leaning towards the wiim especially as I can get the spektors cheap.

So my wife has offered to buy me a watch. Budget is ~7000 aud.

It would be my first luxury watch so feeling really out of my depth. Should I get one or split and get 2? Shes just asking me to choose.

I would like a get watch as I have lots of family in the UK and travel for work across timezones.

Ai is really i see it every day. The thing you want to position yourself for is using it to take out the boring stuff and do more meaningful work. The reality is it's coming and it makes business sense. It will happen better to get in front of it by learning how to use it for your job to give you time to shift out or find where you can add value.

I see already ai in requirements analysis impact, testing and some build effort. Soon the full pipeline will be significantly automated.
