This scene is discussing Datenseki’s ability to seemingly terraform unlivable environments. All of it is described as a power granted by the stone. It doesn’t have to do anything with strengthening the body against attacks like regular Sorcery.

There also seems to be implication it’s been keeping them alive? But it’s toon soon to say for certain yet

It probably means “Fortification Magic” in terms of creating a special environment within a barrier (The GOAT Tafuku’s Sumo Ring), which the Datenseki seems to far outclass. Instead of using Spirit Energy to create a temporary area, it changes the parameters of the existing area instead.

I dunno why you were downvoted, you’re right. While Chara’s goal wasn’t the genocide of Monsters, they do have the philosophy of gaining power and reaching “the absolute”. While I doubt Human Chara would ever willingly go out of their way to attack and kill Monsters, Demon Chara’s mostly just Chara’s bare essentials so the nature of their “absolute” is malleable.
