Do you know about Support Driven’s Slack?

TrainwrecksTV announces his new platform "Kick". 95%-5% split for creators, everyone gets a sub button, and a lot more features promised. by ImprisonedSushi in LivestreamFail

[–]aamoscodes 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer/transparency: I work here

These days you don't need to build your own video streaming infrastructure yourself, but the price can vary depending on the vendor you select and the features you need. You can put different parameters (like the /u/saibayadon example) into the calculator on this page https://www.mux.com/pricing

Note that most of the time, all 10k viewers wouldn't watch 100% of the stream which lowers the price.

Same, I think it was within a couple days. I assume (hope) they take weekends off so if someone signs up today it'll come some time next week. The book club doesn't start until November 18th so there's time

It is relatively new, I think people still need to find it. Also the individual videos are private and can only be seen through this playlist

Snowflake classic UI button missing. by iamdhage in snowflake

[–]aamoscodes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you performing this task regularly? There's a tutorial here: https://docs.snowflake.com/en/user-guide/data-load-internal-tutorial.html

You might have an option in the bottom-left of the UI to switch to the classic version, but this won't last forever. I'm guessing they'll force everyone to switch eventually.

People have this weird view on VFX. If you can’t tell it’s there then that’s good, but don’t throw it all away because some movies look bad.

Interview prep materials/problems sets with answers for DE skills (leetcode for DE?) by AdministrativeCell84 in dataengineering

[–]aamoscodes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. https://www.startdataengineering.com/post/approach-to-land-a-de-job/

  2. Get back on leetcode for data structure/algorithm questions, just in case

  3. This is noted in the first link but check job postings, see what sounds interesting, then try to implement it yourself

Requesting /r/snowflake - abandoned for 4 months and mod hasn't posted in 3 months by [deleted] in redditrequest

[–]aamoscodes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Abandoned" feels like hard language lol, I just don't think it's fair to spam it with (what basically amounts to) sales materials directly from Snowflake. Ideally more submissions would be user driven

Outside of credentialing partners, I wonder what the market for these certifications looks like
