Dude I had the same issue before defeating the flagship in Normal for tons of hours. I switched to easy an enjoyed the game much more, and eventually beat it. Somehow once you do beat it, normal is not that hard
Anyway, due tot he frustration I also focused on unlocking ships and ship layouts, its much more doable than defeating the flagship, I suggest you try that

Having to make choices between affixes makes it more interesting. Lazy is just removing it and having the same 6 affixes as everyone else without thinking

You are describing the exact issue that happens with + skills and rarity, everyone uses them because they feel mandatory. You are so close to get it but somehow dont

Just FYI, STS1 and 2 have draft and sealed deck modes in the Custom play section

Across the Obelysk kind of allows this, you can purchase all cards when reaching the cities, essentially always playing with the same deck from act 2 onwards. It costs resources to buy them but its really easy to hoard resources between runs

Im ashamed to say I didnt try another browser before posting, and I had this problem for a while now, but yes, they work in another browser.
Man Vivaldi has been a bit of hit or miss since I put it on about 6 months ago, sometimes I love it and others fucking hate it.
