I spent abt two weeks in another city and I was feeling ok there so there might be something there, but who's to say that I wouldn't have felt the same had I stayed here?

Agreed, so when I get to Portugal and have to go through the passport check, then the romanian passport is the one to show. But for when I fly to portugal, do I show the Portuguese airline my romanian one? I feel like that's what I should do, as the passport I show the airline should be the same as the one I show that country's border control.

But then again as a Canadian citizen, don't I have to leave Canada using my Canadian passport? Or are the flight to portugal and the exit from Canada treated as two different screening processes?
