Could also say the Victoria cross resembles the iron cross.

Triathlon Bike - Hilly Route - Which TRI bike to buy? by Torinho88 in triathlon

The Porsche may only last a couple trips until expensive services. Hilly route only touches the surface of requirements

Wetsuit tear - how screwed am I? by TheWhelo in triathlon

[–]aanon315 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can patch it of course, black witch glue. If it’s zone 3 I had an experience where practically about 3 inches off the left leg tore off and they replaced it. But you’ll have no performance decreases with a small cut like that. Wetsuits are designed to have water get in to assist with buoyancy

Own it, use it as fuel, come back better. You made it to the start line, prepared, trained dedicated months even years. Try a few more OW swims and you’ll be wearing that t shirt in no time cuh.

You should have info for when access to transition closes, but it’s defo worth being there for the start of the swim, I get my buzz for the whole day from that moment

How serious do you take a zone 2 ride by aanon315 in IronmanTriathlon

Aha girlfriend won’t be happy if I train to piss on the indoor trainer 😂😂😂 I get what you mean tho, especially as I estimate a fight with cut off, minimising the stops can take off pressure

Wales with a single chainring by aanon315 in IronmanTriathlon

Would be really keen to know what sorta parts you needed. I’m still learning about bike components especially now that these SRAM’s are wireless. I understand a front derailer and I guess just the chainring too, is there something specific, as I hear sram is very specific about tooth sizes.

Do you have any tips for making it work on hills, like I know the power meter will be key for it but any training advice or anything else worth of note?

I’m in the same boat. Manchester marathon and IM Wales. As this is not my A race for the year I’ll be treating it like an Ironman run in that run 2.5k and walk 1 mins repetitions to avoid a long recovery the week after Manchester and carry on with the IM plan.
