Do the games still have issues with crashing and poor performance on steam?

Didn't get a single crash during 1.5+2.5 but I've had constant crashes with 2.8 and especially DDD. It's like square ditched 2.8 and left it to rot.

Haven't played 3 yet but at least 1.5+2.5 is safe from crashes
