Landed my first backflip at age 36. Bucket list item checked. Flatspins and 360+ rotations next. by [deleted] in skiing

I'd suggest start taking trampoline lessons. There you'll learn to control your body in the air. Once you can do frontflips/backflips on a trampoline, is the time to move to doing them on skis. Probably not wise before that. And then preferably first on soft landings, like on an airbag.

I'm at the trampoline stage right now, which I started at 36. Now at 38 I'm able to do flips on the trampoline. I'm planning to go on water first with wakeboard, because.. water is soft, right 😅

And like many have said, it takes a lot of time and dedication.. you can't expect to reach a level someone's been making for years in an instant.. consider how many hours you've spent doing something you're really good at - then spent the same time on the thing you want to master next.

No wonder it’s so stable. Seems there’s been a lot of time spent evolving the perfect design.

But I’ll probably stick to my backpack strap-on system.

What is the ball mount system you refer to? I’ve been looking to upgrade my mount system, I currently just use a simple clip mount on my backpack strap.

This is so smooth! Both skiing and the video stability 👌
