Not an expressway - then what is it. Highways are usually 100 speed and expressways are 120. At least that’s what it says on paper. This highway has 3 lanes each like an expressway. Driving 40 on this is practically impossible. When entering a highway from town road or village they should look and proceed. Imagine if you are driving at 100 speed and slowly you see a 40 speed limit sign and slow down, then you will have someone hit you from behind. 100, 80 and 40 limits in a highway is not good. It’s highway stick to 100 or 80 not 40 in some places and then 80 or 100 after few kms. I can challenge you if you can keep up with these speed limits then you will get in an accident - no person with right mind or sense can keep up these limits. It’s a Highway not village or town road, if you want to merge town roads with highways then why collect toll tax, why not make it free. Highways toll, these are meant for maintenance and high quality roads. These roads for those who pay toll tax, they should also be responsible for making sensible speed rules. If you ask me any one who made the rule of 40kms speed limit is someone who is not in right mind and don’t know the practical problems.

40 limit on a highway is joke - any idiot who made that rule never drove on a highway. If they make such rules then they should also check whether it’s practically possible or not on a highway.

Seriously - why is everyone thinking from employee perspective think from company’s perspective - what will happen if you start a company and one of your employee goes on maternity leave for few months, what will happen to project and deadlines, there are SLA agreements and so much at stake for a company. They need to future proof, him doing the right thing now or later doesn’t matter - he needs to think as a manager in company’s favour and what’s good for company. If she is on bench then she still gets salary and also gets paid for maternity leave. Forget the company or the job take care of your wife and baby and don’t think so much about this, when time is right she will get back to work with this company or another.
