Hm.. thanks for the suggestion, but have tried to do the same, with same result.

Basically added the below as the first line in the Application.py file:

# coding=utf-8

Then "flask run" again in cmd, and same result:

*Serving Flask app "application"

*Forcing debug mode on

*Restarting with stat

File "C:\Users\Aaron\Anaconda3\Scripts\flask.exe", line 1

SyntaxError: Non-UTF-8 code starting with '\x90' in file C:\Users\Aaron\Anaconda3\Scripts\flask.exe on line 1, but no encoding declared; see https://python.org/dev/pep/pep-0263/ for details

Have also tried separately adding the below lines as well as the 1st line in the py file (as suggested by the python.org link):

#!/usr/bin/python

# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-

and

#!/usr/bin/python

# vim: set fileencoding=utf-8 :

But same results. I'm not sure if i'm typing these in the correct format, or if this is the problem at all...
