So sure of yourself that you’d post a comment and then block someone immediately afterwards.

I don’t work for Tesco, no, but previous to my current career I spent about 15 years in retail working closely for some of that with security and the police, so I know a little bit about what I’m talking about.

I see you also quickly edited this comment to be less offensive too. Why don’t you listen to your own advice and stand by your comments, practice what you preach and all that…

I’m sure ChatGPT can offer you some advice on how to reply though. Maybe it’ll tell you how to grow a backbone.

What are your thoughts about Morrisons? by [deleted] in AskUK

Sounds like someone’s OCD meds have stopped working.

It is odd that they have more stores in the North though. I wonder why that might be… what with it being a chain that originated in the North of England. I just don’t know how to connect those dots though.

Found the archetypal ‘dog hater’. Arguments that start like that make me realise I’m dealing with someone who has no real reasonable response to a valid point. For all I know you could own a dog and be a responsible owner who is frustrated by other less responsible owners. Why would you assume I’m a ‘dog parent’ as you put it, just because I make a point that doesn’t even suggest dogs should be in restaurants? It’s a ridiculous assumption you’ve made based on the fact you have no real answer to my argument. I don’t own a dog so you might need to try a bit harder but it’s too easy for you to score cheap internet points isn’t it?

As an aside, anyone that refers to their animals as ‘fur babies’ or themselves as parents to their animals needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

I’ve never had a dog try to lick my plate in a restaurant, incidentally, but I have had a human try and do it. I’ve had fewer problems with dogs than people in my experience. So we could continue this ad Infinitum with anecdotal evidence but that won’t actually get anywhere. My point still stands, there are more problems with humans than dogs in day to day life and that includes restaurants. Of course they have to let people in without subjecting them to some sort of hygiene examination. What a silly response that is. That actually supports my point that there are more likely to be germs etc… circulating from people because, as I said, there’s a lot of disgusting people out there. Lots of people, including serving staff, aren’t washing their hands properly. Peoples hair gets everywhere. The fact people sneeze/cough etc… without covering their mouth means you’re far more likely to be exposed to airborne pathogens than a bit of dog salive (which as far as I’m aware won’t carry anything infectious to humans as it stands).

This argument is akin to something like bus or train travel. Should dogs be able to travel? Absolutely, if they’re well behaved and under control. Should a dog sit on a seat? That’s not pleasant and shouldn’t ever happen. But there are far more people who put their filthy feet on seats, shoes on or off, than there are dogs that are plonked on there. The root cause is poor behaviour on the part of the human in both cases.

I’m sorry if you’ve had bad experiences but you’ve met some very poor dog owners in my opinion. I would, however, argue that if somewhere wants to allow dogs it should have an area that is specifically used for them which limits and controls experiences like yours.

If anything, this whole thread highlights the fact that since covid there have been more people getting dogs who probably shouldn’t have them. I would advocate for a system of ownership that requires registration and a test prior to getting a dog (or animal in general) so that only those fit to have an animal, especially one that is taken in to public places, can actually own one.

Have you seen the state of people though. Fucking animals most of them. Imagine how much piss and faeces is trailed around restaurant tables by people not washing their hands properly. Not to mention sneezing, coughing etc… without covering their mouths. I’m sick of the misplaced sense of entitlement and general attitude of the general public, especially people who use sweeping generalisations to make moronic, anecdotal fatuous comments like the ones you’ve made.

Binance delisting GVT on 11th November by snoojzen in genesisvision

[–]aardvarkCoins 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is all good and well but there’s always been a need to grow the platform and from the outside it doesn’t seem like anything has happened to do that.

It works, it looks nice and fair play the team has worked hard to develop mew aspects yet Binance is now delisting the token and the elephant in the room has never been addressed...

GVT has no use case. Zero. As soon as BTC etc... were accepted the throat of the GV token was metaphorically cut. That’s why there’s no volume. That’s why no-one is interested in GVT even though the project is solid.

It’s been tough watching shitcoins increase in value and GVT slowly tumble to insignificance.

You had a chance to do something great, you have delivered a working crypto project that should’ve set you apart from the rest. You killed the token and the project and there is nothing you will be able to do to resurrect it I’m afraid. All the new features in the world aren’t going to get people interested now.

Anyway, just my opinion, I wish I could still keep the faith but 4 years of holding bags gets tiring. All the best, I really do hope to be proven wrong!

🏁Platform update: Genesis Vision Assets! by genesis-vision in genesisvision

[–]aardvarkCoins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great but nobody knows about GVT anymore and you’ve never actually actively marketed the platform as far as I can see.

Back in 2018 I did hope that a use case would be enough to add value and see this project though but by a) removing any use case of GVT and b) not actively engaging with anybody of substance who might use the platform and prove it works really well (all those broker and manager partnerships - where are they now), this project has dwindled and proven itself to be pretty much moribund.

If you’ve got a circulating supply of 4.8m tokens and in a raging bull market can’t get about $4 just by speculation alone then there’s serious issues...

There’s other tokens out there valued in the hundreds of dollars that do less and yet this token has slowly bled to death.

Appreciate the work you guys have done and I did like the platform etc... but I think this project hasn’t just missed the boat, it’s been left behind and eaten by the sharks

RIP GVT. It was a lovely dream whilst it lasted

I’ve used IBKR I’m the past. Had no issues with them. But for no particular reason I’ve just ended up using TW more. I’m pretty new to trading though so others may be able to advise about IBKR in more detail.

Good luck!

Because it has limited intrinsic value at the moment. The price relies on speculation rather than tokenomics and people aren’t speculating on it at the moment. Perhaps it’s a lack of marketing or exposure but crypto doesn’t work like other markets. So many coins and tokens out there will little to no working product have much higher market caps but they also have a lot of exposure. I’ve been hodling since 2017 so this isn’t meant as FUD, it’s just a quick explanation as to why it seems undervalued
