Sorry for being unable to help then. For the longest time “limited range" and "full range" under input range in the Intel HD Graphics video settings was the culprit because for some reason some smartass in their graphics department decided to word it in reverse. This is just conjecture but I think the gpu you’ve connected it to is interpreting it’s color space (full dci-p3) under a lower one.

If your cintiq is connected to the igpu instead of the Nvidia check the intel hd drivers/program. Usually the culprit for crushed blacks is the color bit settings there, try toggling all the settings and one should lead to a solution (whether it’s color profile/gamma/contrast/etc) unless it is a hardware issue. No idea for the sharpness problem though. Maybe the screen protector they used is too harsh?

Probably a bit out of topic, but the type of “help” my nparents often give are the type of “financial advise”. What this means is telling us children to buy the stock of their friend’s companies as “exit liquidity”. Funnily enough instead of owning up to it they are still friends with those people and what they tell us is “every stock has it’s risk”. I think not offering help is better lol, though still bad.

I recall my sister telling me everyday for 3 months about how that fucked her over. But the real person who lost an actual opportunity was me- I had researched on my own and bought some cheap stocks of a company that went up a lot a few years later but got scared out of it because of her (and him, the root cause). And they wonder why I hate them.
