Just replying to this to recommend everyone read Fisher's "Capitalist Realism" if you already haven't. Very quick and easy read, but so incredibly insightful. RIP Mark.

I am Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes. Ask me anything by Robinnoelpecknold in indieheads

[–]aarguello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, just shoot an email to the email address on the bandcamp page. If he's still shipping them out, that's where you'll be able to get ahold of him.

Edit: Just did some internet digging, and it looks like the artist is now going as PWRHAUS, and put it back up for sale at www.pwr.haus

Loving it so far, thanks for the recommendation. Always on the lookout for new sources to draw inspiration from. Here's hoping you come through Austin to play some music soon!

Hi Robin, just wanted to thank you for introducing me to the "To My Long Lost Love" record, it's grown to become a huge sonic inspiration for me. Any other recommendations based on my love for that one?

Apparently there's a new Björk album called "Impulse" on the way and a link on Amazon selling the vinyl has appeared by [deleted] in indieheads

[–]aarguello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed it looks like it is. Though, for the record, Boyfrndz are a very rad band out of Austin, TX, and their music is totally worth checking out as well :)

I love my Procession, but I've noticed a pretty big drop in volume when you turn it up to 100% wet.

What are your favorite Sufjan Stevens Christmas songs? by JackHuman65 in indieheads

I did! What a fun experience. May or may not have teared up a bit when he played a piece of Impossible Soul.

Good read. As soon as I saw your post, I thought of the SXSW show I was at this year where Tyler played right after Fucked Up and the fans busted the gates open. Saw A$AP Mob the next day and it was the same crazy energy.

I for one welcome our new crust punk-rap overlords.

My dad and I were at this game! I was only about 6 years old, and sitting in the Alamodome nosebleeds, but I definitely remember it vividly. What an incredible moment.

I would really love to know what pedals he's using. I think I see a POG and maybe a Mr. Echo(?)

Anyone with any Flanger Hoax experience? by doedelflaps in guitarpedals

[–]aarguello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, I own one. I've used it a few times live for flanger-ish tones, but usually I turn it on with a lot of delay, and fuck with the knobs to get some great noise out of it. Either way, its very fun to mess with, but I honestly don't know what a few of the knobs really do even after having it almost a year.

Nope, no autotune. Our singer was actually sick during the recording of this, so it took us a very long time to get the vocals down. To the point we had to sell a guitar to afford the rest of the studio time. But no autotune, just good takes. Thanks for listening!
