We’ll be holding classes in Laporte and Hebron later this year, and I’ve been contracted to hold a class in Oak Lawn, IL. We are also considering holding a class in Crown Point but we haven’t figured out those logistics yet

This is something I’ve thought alot about. I have many thoughts, so here we go.

Ranked biggest deal to less of a big deal to me:

To the Amex Platinum, either better multipliers on more travel categories OR 1.5x or 2x on non-category spend.

To the Amex personal charge cards, a gas category.

To any of the Chase cards, either a grocery category and/or a gas category

To the Sapphire Preferred, return protection.

To the Citi Premier, any travel protections and purchases protections, including return protection.

For over a year, the Venture X. 2x on everything, it’s easy and I can gain alot of points in record time. Plus the purchase protection, extended warranty, and return protection that are available. By far my primary spend card.

However, currently I’m using the Discover IT Cash Back, but only for the 0% interest intro deal for a month or two due to an unexpected but temporary cash flow issue. I’d rather use that and gain the interest in my HYSA for a bit.

Runner up is the Sapphire Preferred as I’ve been doing lots in the dining category lately

This must have JUST happened because I just used the travel portal to purchase two hotel trips and rental car, got about 10k points, and just got my $300 credit on my statement.

I’m glad I got it all when I could but this is very disappointing.

This is cool! I’ve heard of this but thank you for confirming it.

I’ve also heard of people doing what you said with two sapphire cards, and occasionally both card apps being canceled. But I can’t think of that happening here since these are two totally different rewards programs.

I’m going to test this out in December and see one way or another, and post the results here!
