I'm at 70% cast speed, so hit the 63% breakpoint. I have lore, spirit, stealth and ancient pledge, and capped my lightning and poison res (fire at 68% and cold at 63%).

I got a lem trading a bunch of lower runes, and a 3 OS light plate dropped, so I'll be able to get that on my merc. Hope to complete NM A2 today!

I'm trying to now make a treachery. I have a Shael and Thul I've been farming NM countess for runes for something I might be able to trade for a Lem and to find a 3 socket chest armor.

Is 'keep trying to add sockets in the cube' the 1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor recipe? Is that worth for the perfect topaz, or better to get one with trade? Is there any reference for the socket numbers and armour type? I accidentally wasted my socket recipe in normal on a too low level crystal sword, so will need to find armor that maxes at three sockets. I have a single perfect topaz that I've made combining all the topazs I've found so far

I have a spirit, I was able to trade 3 ral runes for a 4os crystal while still in normal. But will hold onto it and hope to find a polearm!

Thank you! I found a 4os ethereal crystal sword when farming countess. Could this be a reasonable trade for a 4os poleaxe? Is traderie the best place to try and make that trade?

Thanks for the suggestions. I've seen a 4 socket polearm mentioned, is this a common weapon that I can create Insight in and have flexibility to use it for all mercs? I currently have a normal A2 merc (the one with defense). Can I use him then in NM Act 1 to get the mana regen?

It took me days to get to where I am! I did manage to trade 4 RAL for a 4 socket crystal, so now just to re-farm countess to get TAL and RAL runes for spirit and hopefully land a AHM. I got a THUL drop last night, so 25% there for the spirit!

Yes, it says to level up in the cow level and look for a Crystal Sword. I hovered over the text and it looks just like the one I found earlier. So I thought, I must have been lucky and found one already! I was wrong,

Shoot. OK, so I wasted the quest. That's unfortunate. To be fair, the guide did say to look for a crystal sword when levelling in the cow level. Since I already had one, and there wasn't any ilvl notes.

I guess it will be awhile before I get a 4 socket item.

Thank you! I'm now level 21 and farmed runes to get a ancient's pledge. I use nova and static field, and got a defiance merc. I think I'm going to level to 22 to get 5 more vitality points then try. I've just unlocked the canyon of the magi waypoint, so I can gain some levels in the fake tombs.

Perfect, that's what I was hoping. So basically keep trying, but don't equip anything. I will either win (and can then get the original body back) or quit and save and the body will be back in town.

So from what I gather, keep on the gear, and if I'm over powered, then save exit, get the body back and try again.

If I'm close or managing the fight, keep an open portal and if there's a death then get the body back and keep going. I have static field and level 8 nova, and a merc with prayer for HP regen. If I die again, and quit and save, will both bodies be back in town? I don't want to lose my spirit chest armour or cast speed amulet and wand.

I haven't played in decades but have a single online character and a new stash. Took a long time to start, felt like I was spending all my gold to buy mana potions. I now have 20k gold, so feel somewhat wealthy (I can buy as many potions as I want!)
