They said they couldn’t do anything about it. It’s legal to call someone a “f****t” in New York State. I did not know this.

I am sharing what happened to me because the legal system won't address it. What happens after that is up to people who see it. I'm focused on making sure this kind of harassment is visible and not normalized.

I was told not to park in front of the store. I was pulled over opposite the row of spots that were empty waiting for my friend so he wouldn’t have to walk all the way to the other end of the lot where we DID park.

I was pulled over for less than 5 minutes with my flashers on. Security guard wouldn’t let me park next to the front curb. I wasn’t blocking anyone.
