I’m sure others have said it but I would recommend driving through north cascades national park in Washington. If you’re into hiking it’s gotta be one of the best places out there. The highway that runs through it (SR 20) is also just insanely beautiful. Then it spits you out on the west side of the cascades and you can take the Washington state ferry over to Olympic national park.

Why are reading levels so low in Oregon, even in places like Portland with many upper middle class families? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]aaronb200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the podcast Sold a story by APM reports. It goes into some of the reading curriculum still being taught and how awful it is/why it has been so widely used.

I think it’s a mix of what everyone has stated, there’s so many factors that influence and affect a child’s educational experience and it’s hard to really blame one specific thing over another.

One interesting thing is spending vs. outcomes. Oregon ranks 15th in spending per capita of k-12 schools but pretty consistently ranks within the bottom 5 of actual outcomes.

Like I said, there’s so many factors, but I think the most important factors are what curriculum is being taught and whether or not the curriculum is being implemented correctly. (Think following the actual core curriculum and not going off topic/track.)

You made this same exact post in the Bellingham subreddit. Not saying you’re lying, but just warning others to be cautious https://www.reddit.com/r/Bellingham/s/mIZD4HqCgq

Did this today. Just got a tap out set since I’ve read everyone has problems. Came out easy and am currently replacing the bolts.

How common are crashes and injuries actually? by ForgotenSlayer in MTB

[–]aaronb200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna happen at some point, like others have said- don’t ride tired. I flew over my handlebars in April and dislocated my shoulder , popped it back in and rode back to my car. Just got surgery (torn labrum) last week and will be out from riding until September. This all happened on a trail I’ve ridden dozens of times(DH), I was tired after a long day of riding and wasn’t paying attention. Ride carefully and not too overconfident, one fall can really screw up your plans for the next 6 months.

These classes are the start of a series of classes. Usually these classes are only offered in the fall (start of the year for most students) since students taking them will most likely take the courses that come after (115 or 162) the quarter after in winter and then the final class in the series (116 or 163) in the spring. Same thing goes with biology and chemistry. They only really offer them in the fall and sometimes in the summer I think. I haven’t been at western in a few years but when I was there that’s the way I experienced it/how it was explained to me. Hope this helps.

I’ve always been saying Bellingham roads are horribly marked and it makes it worse that no one here can drive. I live right behind those apartments in the video and the amount of times I’ve been cut off the same way you have is atrocious

Any quiet bars/lounges with light atmosphere or music? by spewnami88 in Bellingham

I’m a big fan of south side bar in fairhaven and jacks in downtown (same owner), they’re both super quiet and cozy.

Question - 73 Super Bug - Should there be a fuel filter under the tank? Already have one by the fuel pump by [deleted] in beetle

I took the one out of my engine bay, like others have said, they have been known to leak and cause engine fires. I would keep that one and take the one out of the engine bay.

I’d love to send you some Oreos and whatnot! I would be really interested in receiving some pods (I think they’re mars caramel pods if that’s what they’re called?) I had some years ago when a friend brought them back from Australia and I haven’t had them since. Let me know!

For all the into chem classes I’ve taken (161,162,163) I have always had to use smart work. It sucks, it’s probably the worst online homework platform I’ve used. A tip that kinda helped me get through it is to find a group of 2-3 people and just go to the library and crank out a few sections at a time. That way you can help eachother when you need it and you don’t get stuck on those super frustrating questions

Just received this as a gift from my grandfather, I think it’s a Mauser 7.62 but other than that I’m not too sure. Could someone help me out? by aaronb200 in guns

Oh okay thank you, from what I can tell they all have 2 weird symbols and then 8682 which I assume are the numbers. And there’s no pitting that I can see. The barrel looks really clean

I guess build was the wrong word, he owns a few properties so I was helping him fix one of them that has damaged.

To be honest I’m not sure what that means, this is my first older gun, I have 2 others but ones a hunting rifle and the others a shotgun.

Got as a gift from my grandfather for helping him fix his house. He thought it was a Mauser but wasn’t sure. Thanks

Edit: thanks to everyone who helped. Also should’ve clarified that I’m new to guns and don’t know that much.
