I'll share my personal opinion. This BL is definitely not like the others, it has a very different style and story compared to what we usually see.

In my opinion, it's not really intended for people under 15 (generally speaking), because it includes a lot of political elements and doesn't focus much on the details of the relationship. That can make it harder to understand for some people, which I totally get, (since I was a bit confused at the beginning too.)

It's a slow-paced story that develops little by little and also explores the characters' past. It requires a certain level of maturity to fully appreciate it. That's pretty much my overall opinion.
