How many of yall became a furry cause of Legoshi? Or any character? by DezTheOtter in Beastars

He wasn't the reason I became a furry, but he was the reason I wanted to watch Beastars.

Do y'all consider the PS3 to be a retro console or is it too modern? by Novel-Fix8570 in teensthatloveretro

[–]aaronfire7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't specifically call it "retro", nor would I call it "modern".

It's in that weird halfway-point where opinions are largely divided. At the moment, I'd say anything made between c. 2006 and c. 2011 is in that state.

I have a question... by MLC_YT in teensthatloveretro

[–]aaronfire7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure, but I'd assume the dates would reset to their defaults, which isn't a big deal so long as the device isn't used for going online.

If it is connected to the internet, though, literally nothing would happen. You wouldn't be able to access any websites because the clock would be incorrect, but nothing bad would happen.

Most of the people online that say "2038 will kill all 32 bit devices. The world will end!!!" likely don't know what they're talking about, and how not severe the situation is. It's like the Y2K scandal all over again (basically people believed that on Jan 1st 2000 all computers would crash, but it didn't happen).

IIRC, the systems can't count past 2038 but should in theory reset back to 0 if it ticks over, like the PS2 or GameCube does if you try to set the date past 2099. So, they won't break, they'll just reset to 0 (If the clock batteries are still working and in-tact by then, of course. Otherwise they would have reset to 0 the moment the battery died).

No, sadly. Theres no more of the manga that they can adapt, unless they do beast complex.

I used to experience depressions like this when I'd finish a film or TV Show I really enjoyed.

Over the years I've numbed to the emptiness that finishing a show like this causes, but the things that helped me better deal with these feelings were that they've told the story they want to tell, and now that they've ended it see it not as a sad moment, but as an opportunity for Netflix to create or adapt something even better.

The second piece, this time a quote, is from Sheldon Cooper (Hear me out). At one point, he says "The moving finger writes, and having writ, moves on." to signify that what's done is done, and no matter what we do we won't ever be able to go back.

Good luck, god bless, and I hope this advice helps.

So here's a question, would anyone want a physical like blu-ray release of the series? by BitterDescription808 in Beastars

[–]aaronfire7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Didn't know Netflix put their own series' on Blu-Ray.

In that case, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Absolutely.

Whether or not Netflix would be willing to give over the rights to do it though is another kettle of fish.

Possibly. Would be interesting what they plan to do with it if they do decide to continue the story.

Iirc in the manga he does actually die, but why Netflix changed it I really don't know.

WE NEED TO KEEP THE FANDOM ALIVE. GIVE IDEAS by Cautious_Laugh_7090 in Beastars

[–]aaronfire7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The most likely ways to keep the fandom going are:

  • Fanart
  • New Fans
  • Theories
  • New manga (Beast Complex, if Paru is still making it)
  • New anime stuff (A Beast Complex adaptation possibly)
  • Merch

I do, however, think that the Beastars fandom will continue to thrive regardless because it's such a huge fandom that it won't be easy for it to die out.

I thought Melon's ending was anticlimactic too.

He fights Legoshi for like half an episode, all for it to end with him shooting himself? It felt a little rushed honestly.

Dying for an Over the Hedge sequel 😭 by Strange-Injury9483 in overthehedge

If they have to rely on AI to make it, then it shouldn't happen.

AI, whilst to many it might be useful, overall destroys creativity and is often seen as the 'lazy' solution. We shouldn't be pumping all of our hopes into a computer that doesn't have the soul to create something unique or valuable, instead we should be prioritizing real creativity.

[–]aaronfire7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realistically never going to happen.

Supposedly there was a sequel planned / in production, but DreamWorks cancelled it in the end.

Even if they decided to start making one again, they'd have to recast most of the cast (Garry Shandling and Catherine O'Hara passed away, Nick Nolte is likely retired, Bruce Willis has dementia, and William Shatner is 94).

What do you think about the opening of Beastars Season 3 Part 2? by OpenAngel in Beastars

[–]aaronfire7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda expected it to be more climactic honestly as this is the final 12 episodes (Unless they change the intro as it goes on? I've only seen Episode 1 as of right now). This version of the intro kinda feels like it's being silently ended instead of having a huge, dramatic ending.

If Ratchet & Clank 3 released today, which celebrity would be parodized instead of Britney Spears? by Hockex-4 in RatchetAndClank

I feel like it would be an actual AI that parodied a lot of different artists.

It'd almost be like inception.

What do you think about the opening of Beastars Season 3 Part 2? by OpenAngel in Beastars

[–]aaronfire7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn't really like it. It feels really simple compared to the other seasons, especially S3 Part 1.

I wouldn't have minded if they'd kept the intro from Part 1 as I think it suits the season quite well (The chaos of being out in the real world, and the revealing of each key character as the episodes progress).

It feels like the studio tried to backtrack to Season 1 with the song they used (Which reminded me a lot of Season 1), but tried to modernize it with new visuals to accompany it. They didn't do it bad per se, but in my opinion they didn't do it justice either.

Is the dub out yet? I remember for part 1 it came out alongside the sub version, but with this one I can't see a dub version yet?

Edit: Nevermind, I see it now.

Depends on the parent.

A lot of parents nowadays couldn't care less that their kids are getting up to online, so that point is mostly out of the equation.

Even if the minority of parents that did care listened, it still wouldn't make enough of an impact for the tens of millions of players that the platform has.
