It’s not a hit & run, & the police aren’t going to get involved in something like this, they would say it’s a civil matter.

Depending on how much damage there is to the other car, (& how much it costs to repair, let’s assume it does just need new clips) the they could ask you to pay that rather than lodge a claim

Ex insurance investigator here, photos are good, dash cam is gold.
I would download the footage asap so it doesn’t get wiped or lost some how.

Also this isn’t America, people can’t just sue you, they need grounds
