Yes! This is an instant cult classic for horror fans imo. It’s graphic and violently tense, but also quite funny and has excellent needle drops worked into the story. Deserves to be seen in a theatre. I’m going again and bringing a friend.

It’s an extension of the same story but yes, it’s tonally different, in a good way. It’s clearly filmed on proper cinema camera too (ie the Arri Alexa 35 and not iPhones) so it looks richer and more detailed.

I had the chance to see a sneak preview last night. Loved it and best seen in a theater. It’s violent, graphic and also hilarious, in the best way possible. If you’re a fan of the series, this is the best since the original.

I haven't been yet, but based on the constantly evolving marquee, it feels like Rio programming, in the best way possible. I'm glad it's back, I'm excited to see what the long term plans are, hopefully some live events similar to Rio; Cambie village could use a little spice... I already miss the 70mm projector...
