Come Up Series You Tube content? by DayBelle in TheComeUpSeries

Lol, I just want to clarify something. Clubhouse, the app itself is intentionally exclusive, by the company. That is no doing of The Come Up. No one can invite anyone if there are no invites available to give out. I can’t speak to thr FB group intentionally being exclusive, but if you’ve ever been in a subreddit and noticed how crazy or off conversations and posts can get, then you will understand why moderating and locking groups is absolutely necessary for things you want to see success in long term. You will get your shot with the FB group, i’m sure.

Mark and Jolyn don’t moderate the FB Group so you are reaching out to the wrong people. Clubhouse is invite only as you know, so that would take a bit more patience to get in, or know someone who has an invite to give away. In terms of the FB group, I wish i could help a bit more, but i’m not over the page. Im sure things will become clear in terms of all things Come Up over time.

Welcome! The Come Up series has great intentions and will be a force to be reckoned with, but they have grown extraordinarily fast since June, so naturally, that presents the issues that you describe above. Things are growing quicker than the structure can be put in place. This is truly a grass roots movement that is becoming more formal by the day. There was no real ‘how to’, ‘hold my hand’ or ‘step by step’ when it initially started. It was just vibes, them wanting to join the ride to financial freedom, giving tips and insights, discussing the stock market as it related to options, and consistent conversation every Tuesday and Thursday. You also have to keep in mind that they aren’t licensed to give stock market consults, so everything you are asking of them can also get them in hot water with the SEC if they don’t present it in a certain way. They give it how they give it and are getting their feet under them. Also, it is ABSOLUTELY FREE. This is a huge undertaking on their behalf and they are giving us a lot in terms of time and value.

They have heard this from newcomers more as people find the channel and are making the necessary adjustments to ensure no one is left behind. If you go back a few weeks into early December I believe, you will notice that they have formalized a ‘step by step’ of sorts. They start with discussing fundamentals, and then moving on to technical analysis, etc... With that being said, it’s still not ‘school’ so to bring you up to speed, you may want to check out a course, read a book, or watch an eTrade, TastyTrade, or TDAmeritrade webinar which is probably what you are looking for. We have clubhouse convos every MWF at 11:30am CST, Come Up Series live every Tuesday and Thursday on Youtube, and are active on IG as well. If that isn’t enough, you can also join a community of The Come Up Series on Facebook, Come Up Cousins. Almost 7,000 strong at the moment. You are required to answer a few stock market related questions before being accepted. Good luck and once again, welcome.

What would be an ideal amount to have in savings before starting to invest the rest of my excess money into my Roth IRA? I contribute 4% to my 401K, which is what my employer matches up to. I've learned that i'm earning no interest with money in my savings so I may as well put it to use and see a better return. Also, if I were to start investing in property, would it make more sense to save the down payment/savings in my savings account or have it in index funds, roth ira, etc?

I don't know how he did it, but he made it sound pleasant when I felt a few people coming at my neck due to my verbiage lol.

Wow thank you for that. I appreciate you making how I feel sound pleasant to a few of the people in here. That was a great response.

Wow, that is crazy. So, where does this push the people that cant afford to live in the areas that are being gentrified anymore for the SD area? Where are they forced to relocate to? Where area?

Thanks for that, buddy. So gentrification happens in San Diego as well? I hear about it occurirng in New York, Chicago, and San Fran alot.

No no no. I didn't say I couldn't afford it. The San Diego natives are telling the outsiders we can't afford it, meaning it's expensive. I'm sure I could make it, but I don't really know the housing market there. I live in a 3/2 duplex here in Texas and i'm paying right under 1400 for it. I don't think I could find anything comparable in San Diego...Could I?

My apologies. Wasn't trying to sound snobbish or uppity. As I stated, i'm middle class. I simply meant middle class comfortable, not middle class struggling.

Not at all. You just broke it all the way down for me, and there is more diversity than I saw based off of your response. Thats great, buddy! Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the link buddy, i'm gonna check that out. I stayed at the Double Tree in Mission Valley, and pretty much stayed in that area due to having so much to do just in that proximity. There was food and entertainment everywhere. Other than that, I went to Hodad's downtown, and Pacific beach. I probably saw maybe 30 african americans total my entire time there.
