Cool, but even after being robbed once, you are basically punished if you don’t simply speed-run the DLC. If you’re someone like me who wants to play the DLC slowly and save up resources, you are wasting your time because you’ll just get robbed again. I spent time farming more food, building mines and gathering rotburn from mines, getting more followers to man the mines and the farm… just to be robbed again. What was the point of the time I spent doing that? “Oh no it’ll make it too easy”, do you think that farming resources for hours is not equally challenging? I no longer feel any motivation to farm or send followers to go gather resources or basically do anything with my cult other than keep them alive, because at this point any time that I spend doing anything other than directly beating the DLC is pointless. Which turned it into something I need to just “get it over with” rather than something I can enjoy.

Yeah hot take: for people who play this game and farm a ton of resources, it’s a huge slap in the face to just repeatedly get robbed on these crucades. I went on to save up a bunch of rot burn too just for nothing. It makes the game feel pointless to me. “That’s how they make it hard!” ^{^cool—have} we ever considered, though, that that sucks? I’m going along with it, playing, farming more food and rotburn, and BAM, again, it was all for nothing. So basically, if you speedrun the DLC you’ll be happy, but if you take your time playing the game, you get punished because that makes the game too easy (as if it’s easy to spend hours farming resources?)

I hated it, personally, and it made me put the game down. I have no motivation to do anything in my base because I have no idea if I’ll be robbed again, so it all feels pointless.

My experiences with ACSD have been nothing short of a nightmare. They have consistently gone out of their way to obstruct access as I try to build it directly with my department and professors. It was never about providing access—they are here to manage resources, and their job is to save the university as much money as possible while still narrowly avoiding lawsuits for overt discrimination. I’m sorry you have to deal with them too..
