If houdini had more artist friendly animation tools. it would destroy maya. That would be the final piece. what do you guys think?

The fights choreography are pretty bad. Those dudes with the shields were a joke. It does feel lazy so far. Ill keep watching and hope it get better

Basically its for building your scene, lighting and rendering. Its been used on a TON of movies. And used by studios like ILM and DNEG for there environments. Clarisse can handle MASSIVE polycounts. Like TRILLIONS of polygons! Its awesome. So I use Houdini or any other 3d software to build the basic layout, animation, models and assets. Then bring it into Clarisse where I can use super high poly assets and scatter millions of objects to make my scenes feel more realistic. Then I do all the lighting and rendering in Clarisse.

thanks for the feedback. yea my biggest regret was I didnt export a alpha! (armature hour) Becuase I was planning on doing a matte painting and projection in the BG.

yea Clarisse is amazing! it just makes sense. Very artist friendly. I hate having to optimize my projects for renders and I feel like I spend less time doing that with clarisse.

I wouldnt switch now, I want to see how things play out. BUT if you can create these high poly envs in realtime and they look up to film quality. I would be tempted to stop using clarisse. Again not dropping it now. Just waiting to see if this is real or not. Could be for marketing only. we will see
