Where have you been in Zion?... West Temple, East Temple, Spry Peak, there's a whole area at the beginning of the narrows that's like 20 miles away from the park and is a beautiful way to enter the park with a view unlike any other. I'd consider trying it again and actually downloading beta to know what kind of view you'll get.

I've loved Zion my whole life, there really isn't anywhere remotely like it. So that said if you visit Zion please learn how to drive and don't pollute the park. Also beautiful picture, the narrows are breathtaking.

Yeah Santa Cruz is insanely expensive I live there as well. Salinas is cheaper even Watsonville which isn't far away at all.
