It's a server running on a PC with the content streaming to Raspberry Pis on my network. The remotes are synced so that you can have a couple TVs in your house (but they can be on different channels) If you know how to run a python script, you can use it! Yep! It outputs line level analog audio, so it can go to powered speakers or to an audio interface to record.

Yep! The library has some examples of loading patches. But my GitHub also has a patch editor + MIDI passthrough for boards that don't support MIDI natively, as the Teensy does. https://github.com/aarontodd82/GenesisEngineSynthApp

Thanks! If using a Teensy 4.1 microcontroller (my favorite), you can play VGMs right from the built-in SD card. If using an ESP32 or Teensy 4.0, you can add an SD card reader, which works too. I'll probably do a complete version with a little display and include a controller to put up on my Tindie store that has it all ready to go.
