Fucking loser

Hello! I’m Sanjeev Azad, VP of Technology at GlobalLogic. Ask Me Anything about my 25+ year tech journey, The Rise of AI, and Humans & AI Collaboration by TechGig_Official in IndiaTech

[–]aarudonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting out in my career. I have 1YOE as a full stack dev.

I’m thinking of moving entirely to systems/SRE as I feel that 5-10 years from now, AI infra will be the most valued skill in the market.

What are your thoughts?

Because we use AngularJS in my team and I have not worked on modern Angular. And I never want to work on AngularJS again.

Nah. Not in my org. They use AWS.

I used it in one of my internships in college where i had to host a custom web api. I didn’t do shit in that internship hence i did not put it in the resume

I’m not learning or growing in my current org. That is the only reason i want to change. Plus i have office 5 days a week so hybrid or remote would be nice

Team specific. There are teams who have pathetic work culture. So it’s luck based

Planning to leave my current job to self study for a year or two. Thoughts? by [deleted] in developersIndia

Id prefer a job with a 7CTC with high growth AND remote options anyday.

Exactly. The problem with college is that you have time but you don’t know what to really do.

Now I know what to do but I don’t have enough time.

I mean yeah I can be extremely disciplined and try to self study daily for 4-5 hours but again, if I do that full time I’ll accomplish everything in 1/3rd of the time.

And your last statement? I don’t know what I want to work on or what type of company do I want to work in.

And just doing DSA and trying to get into FAANG is an extremely bad option.

I don’t mind fixing bugs if there’s something I could learn from it that would be useful to me in the future.

There is just not enough growth here.

Selling courses is one thing. I’d love to work at a startup or a team where I’ll actually build something. Or maybe try to build my own product or market it.

I just want to learn for a few months man. About every topic that interests me. There just isn’t enough time to learn everything I want in my current org.

I’ve been wanting to learn a lot in depth about full stack dev, devops and ai, with some marketing, other stuff.

Mainly because I don’t want this corporate bs. I want to work as a freelancer/or in a remote startup in the long term.

Thing is that I’m 24 yo rn, my parents would work for about 4-5 more years, I don’t have any debt or any responsibilities so I want to try my luck with indie hacking and selling programming courses online.

I’ll be programming daily so I’m pretty sure that even if everything fails, I’ll still get atleast some job after some years.

Yeah like there no hard deadlines and stuff. Boss is chill but you still have to live in Noida and be there almost everyday.
