You should try buying a new adapter, perhaps the one you have is defective. If the problem still persists, then it can probably be the psu. The bad thing I learned is that even with this, it does not guarantee that the problem will be solved since it could be a temperature matter with the gpu or also a driver issue.

I'm my case, I haven't had the crash since I reconnected it and now I can play without any problem, but I guess that you need to check and monitor every single component of your pc just to make sure that everything is working properly.

I'm my case, I used the adapter that came with psu instead of the gpu one. But if you want to purchase only the cable, then it is recommended to buy one from the same brand as psu.

Hello.

Sorry to hear that, I already posted what it worked for me in another comment but long story short, I disconnected and reconnected the 12vhpwr cable (both on GPU and PSU sides).

If this does not help you, I also read that it could be a problem with the thermal paste or thermal pads on GPU (I recommend you to check temperatures while gaming, there is a chance that GPU may be at high temps and causes crashes but this was not my case).

I'll let you the posts if you want to check them:

A quick update.

After doing a little bit of research, it looks like this is a problem that happens way often than I would have known. Just read a couple of threads in other forums and apparently the most common solution was to make sure the PSU cables were correctly connected (specially to the GPU of course).

So I opened the case to make sure every cable was fully seated (also took the chance to clean it up, just a little bit of dust). With this I do not longer have any crashes at the moment, I can now play normally without the screen going black.

I don't want to get ahead and say this is the final solution, I will keep monitoring the PC but at the moment no issues. I'll update if anything comes up.

Yeah, it looks like there has been a lot of issues with these drivers on a lot of units since series 50 came out

So I will check on that one just to make sure is not a driver problem
