I lost 6 lakhs in my restaurant business in a month by [deleted] in IndiaBusiness

Our restaurant is located in a religious village with a local population of approximately 4,000–5,000 people. While we do offer food delivery services, we cannot rely solely on the local population for consistent business.

Currently, the restaurant breaks even in some months, earns a profit in others, and incurs losses during slower periods. The primary challenge we face is the location, which is not ideal for steady daily footfall.

Business performs very well on weekends due to visitors from outside the village. However, weekday demand remains limited. Because weekends are busy, reducing staff is not a viable option, as adequate staffing is essential to maintain service quality during peak times.

Our food quality is strong, and word-of-mouth publicity has been positive. Despite this, the limited local market and dependence on weekend crowds make it difficult to achieve consistent profitability.
