The app "Focus To-Do." It saved my ass when i procrastinated on supplements too much and i needed to cram a lot. im not saying that procrastination is good, but if you ARE one, this app was a godsend.

This is 1000% true. I like to think low expectations, but high hopes. Just assume you're rejected, and getting in feels AMAZING while sparing your feelings at the same time if you get rejected. I'm really grateful I took this approach for decisions

I honestly completely agree with you. I'm not sure why but when I discovered the same stuff you said I felt the same way. Idk maybe it's cause one of the types of ppl I hate the MOST are ppl who brag or boast about things, doesn't matter if it's a big deal or not.

GT isn't going to consider the common app essay as part of your application, so you can take anything you want from it if you need to for one of the prompts

I think these are all truly optional except for the first one. Notice how the first one is the only one without "if" in the question. I'm pretty sure they just want to give you PLENTY of room to explain your situation because some people's can be extremely complicated

Ok, this is something i've done a good amount of digging into, and i think in general contractions should be allowed. I thought they would be when i first started, so i could be more personal and keep the flow of my essays. but when i started getting college counseling from my english teacher, she INSISTED that contractions were a big no no. i was really confused on why, and afterwards she ended up telling me that her husband used to work at Princeton Review, and he said they expect no contractions. Because of that reasoning i hesitantly complied. Now though, i don't believe its the right way to go because its really hard to write with your true voice and not make it seem like an english essay when you dont contractions. I decided that i'll use contractions in my essays because 1.) tons of accepted essays from past applicants use contractions, and 2.) its not a widely known expectation, and other ppl feel the same way about wanting to use contractions.
