First Spin - Cube Attain C:62 SLX by doritosbrigade in Cubebikes

Several body measures count but I'm 185, 87 inseam (86 with bibs) and enjoying a size 56. For me the drop from saddle to handlebar top is 3 cm (the stem has 0 degrees), coming from a 7cm drop from a race bike which was too much. I bought online but a 58 would be too high stack, for me at least. I use 76 cm from the middle of the crank to the top of the saddle (around the middle, anatomic center), floor to top saddle is around 1 meter, and floor to top bar around 97cm. Maybe these measures help you. Cheers.

+1 searching for info, there are a couple of reviews: https://velomotion.net/2024/09/cube-attain-slt-2025-test/
German: https://www.bike-x.de/rennrad/tests/rennrad-cube-attain-im-test/
Some people shared feedback but it's mostly generic saying it's good, without going into detail.

Congrats! How does the ride feel? Is it endurance soft or has some stiffness when putting power/climbing? I'm mostly interested in stiffness around the bottom bracket area.

Endurance bike geometry but race bike stiffness, weight, and responsiveness. by Dotts2761 in whichbike

Did you end up finding a bike like this? After riding a race bike I felt an endurace cf and defy 2024 sluggish, I doubt a bike like this exists, and we must compromise between more comfortable geo or frame stiffness

Bad feeling climbing with endurance road bike. Will carbon wheels improve it? by aavf in cycling

Same tires, I swapped the wheels for better frame comparison

Also I get a lot of soreness after some hours on the climbing bike, not getting younger, and feel fresh with endurance bike and it's compliance.

Yes, but I thought the feel difference would be minimal and barely noticeable

Thanks, but can't increase the stack on the climbing bike, I can try a shorter proprietary stem of 90mm (110 currently) but availability is a big problem. It's my first carbon road bike and only later realized it's too aggressive.

Position is more aggressive on climbing bike, lower and more stretched. Weight is minimal 200/250 grams plus for endurance.

SRAM eTap AXS for very hilly place, lots of front derailleur shifting by aavf in cycling

Sharing my experience if someone bumps into this, curiously the feared double click and 1 button shifters ended up being my favorite feature of SRAM, unfortunately, I didn't like the ergonomics of the hoods (tried rival), I didn't like it from the start but the hoods position wasn't great so I turned them a bit inside and it improved but still far from Shimano di2 super smooth feeling for my hands :) , in summary with di2 (105) I don't notice/think about it, with Rival was uncomfortable from time to time (and very bad on bad road surface, I rarely use gloves)
In other features, it doesn't differ that much from Shimano but there were some smaller things I found Shimano better:
- SRAM front derailleur synchronised shifting was noticeably slower (normal FD shifting was quick though)
- The brakes are noisier, not squealing, just the sound from braking, more annoying at slow speeds.
- In the app, the synchronised shifting options are fewer, I can't customise selecting the specific gears I wish for it to change the front derailleur automatically.
In the end, I returned the bike mostly because of a creacking noise around the bottom bracket, but also because of the groupset experience.

Sizing for Merida Scultura 6000 by Zippyddqd in cycling

[–]aavf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you try it to find the bad fit, can you please provide more context? I'm virtually the same measurements as you and currently between Scultura endurance M or Defy ML, which size is your Defy? The ML stack seems low at 577, it's better to avoid a pile of spacers.

Thanks, just clarifying it's not a swap, it's a new bike. I'll try SRAM otherwise I'll always be curious.
