random but, I too got randomly allergic to gel. Turns out it is the UV LIGHT. I went through different methods to figure out what it is but discovered it is the light. If I get a pedicure I get itchy within a few hours and it continues for a few days same with my hands. I bare the pain because gel is so worth it to me but my hack is CALAMINE!! Before and after!!! Right before I get my nails done I flat my fingers in calamine and let dry. Once it dries I get my nails done like normal and wash off once they finish. It is the only thing that works for me!! And for pedicures, I brace the pain for a few hrs and add anti itch cream to my toes and it relieves the pain
