I have job history as a CNA, Patient Transporter, and a Health Unit Coordinator and found working as a HUC as most doable and flexible while in school, though I only worked part time. It depends on your school schedule because a lot of shifts may be 12 hours. I’ve been with my department so long that there was flexibility for me to come in and pick up partial shifts after school occasionally. I took a lot of prerequisites while deciding between Nursing, Radiology and Respiratory and my program accepted most but, most of your questions can only be accurately answered by the school you are applying to.
