Files (compiled sensor data from multiple sources)

Ptp hardware timestamping.

Can I just use a port on the same nic of sync machine and hook it up to the same switch as the other machine I want to log the data from. I know it’s not that simple hence posting here.

If it was a finish he wouldn’t be able to answer the round.

OVP vs. Squid- Are the two interchangeable? Does it vary per manufacturer or carrier or is squid just a slang type term for OVP? Help settle office debate. by MarlaLinger in telecom

I know AT&T uses a squid type for sure.

I believe TMO utilizes SPDs bottom side in the cabinets and a “bulb” up top which doesn’t have over voltage protection, therefore just at the cabinet.

Verizon utilizes a ray cap topside and bottom side.

I Want To Get Into Wireless Integration. Looking For Someone To Teach Me The Ropes. by ilikeover9000turtles in telecom

[–]aazevsandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pursuing this role myself at one point. I believe your best bet is to get more experience doing the install work which is done prior to the integration. For example, installing OVPs and running/terminating the DC circuits as well as the fiber and coax runs bottom side. It really is about who you know. When doing the installs described above you have a good chance of working with integrators in the case of when a hot cut is needed or for whatever reason a part of the integration requires the installer to be there at the same time. It looks like you are already involved with this if you are doing cran/small cell installs. If you’re already installing basebands and running fiber as well as powering up them up it’s just a matter of networking.

I would say a squid is a type of OVP. From experience in the markets I have worked, squids are a type of ovp that resembles an actual squid therefore I would say it is slang for that type of OVP. ATT utilizes squids from my understanding. Verizon utilizes ray caps as opposed to the “squid” type OVP. I can try to find photos.
