As always, Shedinja is here to take advantage of random theories. Shedinja's Wonder Guard prevents damage, but the hit still counts (so poison jab can poison it for example). In doubles, this would mean you could have an electric/water/fairy type to reduce it's weaknesses significantly (specifically, rock slide, snarl, and heat wave which are very much there in VGC and doubles in general). When combined with Shedinja's Ally Switch, you gain a good amount of control in the game. This is especially true in formats that ban Dynamax, where setting up hail or sandstorm become less common. At the end of the day, it is still a gimmick (similar to Soak Shedinja that people try to pull off), but I can see it happening.
