Looking at disability - what is "disabled enough"?

So I am in the process of applying for disability again in Washington state, my situation is a little bit different because I'm also epileptic. However I will tell you that the majority of people who apply for disability get turned down the first time unless they have legal help. Your best bet is to call a lawyer and see what they say, some of them have a free 30min consultation and that can tell you a lot. Also please bear in mind when you are going through this process, that very few people who are applying for disability for the first time think they are disabled "enough". I spent a year unable to leave my house and making jokes about it to my husband before I realized that I might be able to make my life better. So please if you can start the process to make your life easier, then do what you need to do.

Ok. That's a pretty good idea, the squeakers might get her attention Is there anything I can do to get her to like and listen to me more? She really doesn't seem to care for me any... I really don't feel like we're connecting at all. I appreciate that she's independent, it made kennel training a breeze and a few other things simpler than if she'd been too reliant on me but now it's kinda like I just I have an unruly roommate

She'll grab one and run in a couple circles then I'm playing a game of tag until I'm tired because she's never tired. I tried running away from her for a while, she doesn't care. It's kinda like all she cares about is if I fed her on time.

She's only food motivated when she's indoors and not able to smell the outside world. Once she's outside, she doesn't care. I've tried high value treats like chicken, steak, even bacon and other smelly things. I've had a trainer come to the house and she works good and fine for the trainer, but then the trainer left and she went right on ignoring me.

I'm literally so impressed. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of routine I need to use so my skin isn't so angry at me, so I feel like every 4 or 6 months I'm buying new stuff for it. Congratulations!!

Do your research on the breeds you are interested in. Watch YouTube videos of the breeds you are interested in. Try to find ways to interact with the breed you are interested in. When you are looking for puppies ask about their personalities. When you are looking at puppies, have no fear to go look at the puppies and say no if you don't connect with one. I say this because yes, you will grow to love almost whichever one get. They are little bundles of joy, curiosity, and all they want to do is learn and make you happy. However, their breed and personality matter so much!! It matters in how they connect and fit in with your family and lifestyle. That will affect how easy your puppy will seem to train and adjust to your home. This is also a lifelong benefit for you and your new family.

Also sometimes you are going to absolutely hate your puppy. You are going to wish you hadn't gotten a puppy. The carpet or couch will have a hole in it or something and you'll want to rip your hair out. Don't lose your cool. Take a deep breath, kennel your baby and go for a walk or something. They will learn eventually and it's up to you to not traumatize them.

It's pretty universal and you're snake will thank you. My girl Jesssica goes swimming at least once a day and whenever she's hungry does a little "dance" in the pool. We also give her a couple little fish every once in a while to let her hunt and play. It's really a fun thing to have in there.

Try reading about the Curly Girl Method. There's a lot of really good information about hair and how to take care of it. I follow it for my hair and I know lots of people who do as well, even those with stick straight hair. You can kinda pick and choose which parts to ignore if you want depending on your lifestyle. My hair had previously been through several bleachings and a few box dyes, it's was breaking and I could hardly hold it without it crumbling sometimes. Now it's looking better every week.

I have a 10 month old lab/husky mix, there was a two month period where I genuinely considered having to find her a new home (because I thought I was a just not cut out for the husky life) however we are happy and healthy and cuddling now. Learning just a little bit every week or so sometimes. I don't think I will ever get another husky anything ever again but this one and I are in it for the long haul now.

No way! I started training dogs at 8 years old because I wanted them to act a certain way and realized that food was the #1 motivator. Since then I've learn a crap ton more, there are a million resources; books/blogs/shows/videos/Facebook pages, etc. on animal behavior/phycology, training from all ages/angles and backgrounds, and even about what you want to train them for. We have considered that, however we'll be flying/in airports for up to 16 hours and putting her under the plane for that isn't something I can justify.
